At one point in time, Ndamukong Suh was considered to be the most dominant single defensive player in the NFL. That’s what earned him a record-setting six-year, $114 million contract from the Miami Dolphins. But since signing that deal, the Dolphins have not enjoyed a fair return on investment, as Suh takes way too many plays off, or simply goes at half-speed for many plays, way too often. He’ll disappear for long stretches of the game. When Suh actually turns it on, he’s still virtually unblockable. But it’s gotten to the point that his lackluster efforts have taken him out of the discussion of best defensive linemen in the NFL.
