Jeff Sheppard was part of the rise of the University of Kentucky Basketball program in the mid-to-late 1990’s, playing under head coaches Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith, and winning a National Championship under both. During the run up to the latter coach’s title in 1998, Sheppard was named the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player. As a professional, he briefly played with the Atlanta Hawks, before spending a few years playing pro ball in Italy with three different teams. These days, Sheppard is a vice president for business development with Wazoo Sports, a regional television sports network concentrating on sports in Kentucky.
