Big man Felton Spencer was the 6th overall pick in a rather unforgettable 1990 NBA Draft, which had only four players ever make an All-Star game that were selected in the first round. In a thirteen-year NBA career, Spencer bounced around six different teams, never staying in one place for more than three seasons; his final stop was with the New York Knicks.

After retiring from the NBA in 2001, Spencer was off the grid for the most part, but he re-appeared in 2011 when he became an assistant basketball coach at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. Spencer later moved on to a similar position at Bellarmine University, also in Louisville.
