As a junior at the University of Kansas in 2007, cornerback Aqib Talib was named a unanimous first-team All-American, and considered to be one of the best defensive back prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft. But after declaring for the 2008 NFL Draft, reports began to emerge that teams were turned off by his character and off-the-field issues. It was reported that, at the NFL Combine, Talib admitted to testing marijuana use at least three times while at Kansas. That led to Talib falling to the 20th overall pick in the first round, and being the third cornerback taken in the draft.
