Randy Moss had already lost the opportunity to play for a team he considered his “dream” opportunity, the University of Notre Dame, after being involved in a racially-charged fight back at his high school. Head coach Bobby Bowden at Florida State University decided to take a chance on Moss, considering his unprecedented talent. But during the 1995 season, when Moss was a redshirt freshman in Tallahassee, Moss tested positive for marijuana, thus violating his probation from the fight. Moss was dismissed from Florida State, and had to serve 60 days in jail. As we all know, Moss ended up finishing his career at Marshall University in his home state of West Virginia.
