Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli looked like he was on his way to a promising career at the University of Oregon, playing for head coach Chip Kelly and his high-powered offensive attack. But after Masoli’s sophomore year, he and a teammate were identified as suspects in a theft from a frat house on the University of Oregon campus. As a result, Masoli was suspended for the entire upcoming season. That subsequent summer, Masioli was dismissed from the program after he pleaded guilty to marijuana possession during a traffic stop. He never played in the NFL, but split time playing professionally between the now-defunct United Football League and the Canadian Football League.
