Darko Milicic, Pistons (2004)
Even one of the most colossal busts in the history of the NBA Draft still managed to end his career with an NBA Championship ring. Darko Milicic, who was famously selected one spot after LeBron James, and ahead of Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh in the 2003 NBA Draft, was a member of the Detroit Pistons team — who selected him in said draft — that won the NBA Championship in 2004 (his rookie season). He became the youngest player to appear in a NBA Finals game (only days away from his 19th birthday).
During his brief 14 minute appearance in the playoffs, Darko went 0-4 from the field, 1-4 from the free throw line and committed three turnovers. It might seem unfair to expect an 18-year old player to contribute in the finals, but NBA fans soon learned, that age wasn’t the issue for Darko Milicic. At no point in his NBA career would Darko Milicic have been able to contribute much to a championship run.
