Devin Thomas has more notable tattoos across his upper body than seasons played in the NFL (he’s been out of the league since 2013). There’s the picture of the Marvel character Wolverine, ironic because 1) his grades were too low to get a scholarship from the University of Michigan, even though he grew up in Ann Arbor; and 2) he ended up playing for in-state rival Michigan State. There’s one of a Spartan warrior (inspired by the film “300”), a woman controlling the sword of Conan the Barbarian (allegedly trying to show men and women being strong side-by-side), and “HBK” behind his ear, which means “heartbreak kid” after a former girlfriend broke his heart in college (he’s apparently oblivious to the popularity of that acronym in pro wrestling). And to top it all off? There’s Goku, a cartoon character from the Dragon Ball-Z Japanese animation series, across the middle of his back. Because, hey, why not?
