After a solid college career at North Carolina, Saturday went undrafted in 1998. The Ravens signed him after the draft, but cut him two months later, during training camp. With no NFL prospects on the horizon, Saturday returned to North Carolina and took a job at an electrical supply store. Luckily for Saturday, one of his college teammates was close to Colts general manager Bill Polian, and convinced Polian to sign Saturday to the Colts roster. Polian’s gamble on Saturday paid off big time.
