As a 6’1, 287lb “tweener,” Randle was undrafted out of Texas A&M (Kingsville). Teams thought he was too big to be a defensive end, and too small to be a defensive tackle. The Vikings took a chance on Randle by signing him in 1990, and three years later, he was named to his first Pro Bowl. That was the first of seven appearances he would make to the annual all star game. He became a six time All Pro, lead the NFL in sacks 1997, was named to the NFL’s 1990’s All Decade team, and inducted into the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor. Randle finished his NFL career with a total of 137.5 sacks — good enough for 7th all-time. NFL Resume: 7x Pro Bowl, 6x All Pro, 1990’s All Decade Team.
