As part of LeBron’s difficult childhood, he actually ended up missing 82 of 160 days of school when he was in the 4th grade. As a child, James was too ashamed to go to school because his mother, Gloria James, had been arrested for a variety of crimes including trespassing and disorderly conduct, which led to her spending a few days in jail. According to his teachers, he made up for it with perfect attendance in 5th grade.
