Rush Limbaugh’s racially-charged commentary

For some reason, ESPN thought it would be a great idea to employ ultra-Conservative talk show personality Rush Limbaugh on it’s Sunday NFL Countdown show. Naturally, this decision would eventually explode in their face. In 2003, Limbaugh called Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb overrated. Now, things would have been fine if it had ended there, but Limbaugh went on to say that McNabb was only popular because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed. The backlash from such commentary was enough for ESPN to cut ties with Limbaugh shortly after such statements were made.
