Victor Oladipo, Indiana Pacers
Before the 2013 NBA Draft, when LeBron James was still a member of the Miami Heat, ESPN’s Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose asked a young Victor Oladipo what he would do in his rookie season, when his future employer would play in Miami. Oladipo’s response was effectively going to bed early, and be as ready as possible to go toe-to-toe with James.
That’s the competitive spirit Oladipo has always shown in his career, which allowed him to blossom into a All-NBA Third Team selection in 2018. Don’t forget that Oladipo’s Indiana Pacers also took the Cleveland Cavaliers to seven games, and were the only team in the Eastern Conference playoffs to do so.
