The careers of Shaquille O’Neal and Michael Jordan are intertwined in the most interesting of ways. O’Neal came into the league in 1992, right before Jordan’s two-year sabbatical from the NBA; that led to O’Neal taking the throne as the league’s most marketable player, due to his incredible athletic gifts and individual charisma. As a member of the Orlando Magic, O’Neal faced Jordan and the Bulls twice in the Eastern Conference playoffs. O’Neal finished his soon-to-be Hall of Fame career with 15 All-Star game selections, three All-Star Game MVP awards, three and Finals MVP awards.
