Paul Pierce’s career started just a few months after Michael Jordan initially retired from the Chicago Bulls. Drafted in 1998, in the same class that included future Hall of Famers Vince Carter and Dirk Nowitzki, Pierce was selected to play in the All-Star game 10 times during his NBA career, and won his first (and only) NBA Championship in 2008. Pierce was named the MVP of the NBA Finals when he won said championship as a member of the Celtics, though that doesn’t really compare with the fact that Jordan was given that award six times.
