David Tyree will always and forever be known as “the guy who made The Helmet Catch.” Aside from his epic Super Bowl reception, Tyree caught just 54 passes in his entire 6-year NFL career. His best season was in 2006, when he played all 16 games and finished with 19 catches for 197 yards and two touchdowns.

Tyree is now the Giants director of player development. He serves as a big brother-ish, mentor-like role for several of the young players on the roster. And he’s notorious for running a tight ship when it comes to his family. Tyree, his wife Leilah and their seven children—four boys, three girls – do not have a television. His kids, even the teenagers, do not possess smart phones. No iPads. No video games.
