Isaiah Crowell, RB, Cleveland Browns
This was the year that Isaiah Crowell was supposed to finally have his “breakout season,” after just missing the thousand-yard mark in 2016. All offseason, the word was that the coaches for the Cleveland Browns would ride Crowell a significant amount, to take pressure off their perpetually uncertain quarterback situation. But Crowell has gotten off to a terrible start in 2017, averaging less than three yards per carry, and catching a grand total of only five passes. Moreover, there’s a lot of chatter that fellow running back Duke Johnson Jr. might be the best running back that the Browns have. Crowell is playing out this year on a one-year, $2.74 million deal, meaning the Browns can simply walk away from him this upcoming offseason if he continues at his current pace.
