After signing a two-year, $11.5 million contract prior to the 2016 season, Wallace had his most productive season in over five years, catching 72 passes for over 1,000 yards. But Wallace’s game is almost entirely predicated on his blinding speed and ability to “take the top off” opposing defenses, and at 31 years old, it’s a question as to how much longer he’ll be able to do that. Given Joe Flacco’s own injury problems and inconsistent play, there’s no telling if the quarterback of the Ravens in 2018 will be able to best utilize Wallace’s deep speed anyway. Baltimore has needed to overhaul it’s group of wide receivers for years now, and that could start this offseason.
