We’re coming up on a decade now, since the Indianapolis Colts have last had a truly productive and reliable running back. The ageless Frank Gore has been the best option they’ve had, becoming the first Colts running back to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season since Joseph Addai. But at 34 years old, how much longer can the Colts continue to expect Gore to keep playing? They’ll have to come up with an answer to that question, as Gore will be a free agent this offseason, and will turn 35 years old this spring. Indianapolis has a few young runners like Robert Turbin, Marlon Mack, and Matt Jones on the roster, but you can’t really say any of them are actually better players than Gore, even at his age.
