6. London Fletcher
Former NFL linebacker London Fletcher won the 2012 Bart Starr Award, given to NFL players who best exemplify “outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field and in the community.” So, when he makes a statement about his employer, that probably counts for something. After Goodell’s press conference in regards to the Ray Rice incident, Fletcher stated on his Twitter account that if Goodell didn’t resign after the league’s mishandling of said incident, then Goodell should be placed on leave of absence while an investigation took place. Fletcher believed the league’s fans, players, and sponsors deserved such actions be taken against Goodell.
