One of the greatest that never was… Len Bias was the type of basketball player that will always make you wonder: “what if?” A first-team All-American at the University of Maryland, people believed Bias was one of the few basketball players with the physical gifts and skill to rival a young Michael Jordan. But when partying with friends just two days after being selected by the Boston Celtics as the second overall pick in the 1986 NBA Draft, he overdosed, and died from a heart attack. Many people believe Bias is the greatest college basketball player to never have played in the NBA.
