5. Dirk Nowitzki
Dirk Nowitzki means so much to the Dallas Mavericks franchise that he actually lives down the street from team owner Mark Cuban. In 2008, Nowitzki bought his five-bed, six-bathroom home in Dallas for just under $8 million. The 9,200-square-foot home has a three-car garage, tennis court, swimming pool and a fireplace with a sitting area near the back patio. Oh, and there’s the basketball hoop where Nowitzki can continue to sharpen his deadly fallaway jumper when he’s not practicing with the team.
4. Kristaps Porzingis
The New York Knicks prized young forward has a bachelor pad fit for any star in New York. He’s renting a corner penthouse in the Moinian Group’s 71-story tower called “Sky,” located at 605 West 42nd Street in New York City. The building features an NBA regulation-sized basketball court, said to have been designed by teammate Carmelo Anthony. There’s also the other standard amenities you’d expect from a luxury apartment building like this: indoor and outdoor pools, billiards room, private courtyard space, and fantastic views of the Hudson River. He’s already paying $8,000 per month in rent for his pad, and to share in the joys of his new home, he’s rented two more apartments in the tower for his two brothers.
