5. Gino Torretta (1992)
Gino Torretta led his University of Miami Hurricanes to the 1993 Sugar Bowl — where they would eventually lose their shot at the national championship — capping off a two-year college career where the threw for more than 6,100 yards and 39 touchdowns. But Torretta received little attention from NFL teams during the 1993 NFL Draft; he wasn’t taken until the seventh round. He didn’t play a single snap in his first two years in the NFL, and eventually bounced around five more NFL teams before finally retiring in 1997.
