Like everything else involving Alex Rodriguez, his waterfront mansion in Miami was over the top. In 2010, A-Rod purchased the gigantic plot of land and custom built a 20,000 square foot house. According to local sources, the Yankees slugger paid a total of $15 million for the land and construction of the mega mansion. A-Rod obviously wasn’t worried about cutting costs when he designed his 9 bedroom waterfront palace. The imported European oak flooring costs more than most Americans spend on their entire home. In 2013, A-Rod sold the home for $30 million, or $15 million more than what he spent just three years earlier. Not a bad investment!
