Tim Tebow is living proof that when someone happens to be “too perfect,” they often end up being hated nearly as much as people who are far from perfect. While he continually talked about his faith and espoused Christian values in nearly everything he does, people saw Tebow as acting “holier than thou,” and the national media often rolled their eyes at some of the conservative social beliefs he had. He became the rare lightning rod for the “separation of church and state” discussion spilling into the game of football.
