Vinny Testaverde was one of the key players who helped bring the University of Miami to prominence in the 1980’s. He was a consensus first-team All-American, the school’s all-time leader in career touchdown passes, and a Heisman Trophy winner. But even more than all of that, Testaverde might be best known for one thing: throwing five interceptions in the 1986 National Championship game against Penn State, which played a major part in the Hurricanes losing a game they were otherwise heavily favored to win.
